I will dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
